We're an RV Family!!!!

We are the proud owners of an RV!!!  It's pre-owned, but in good condition with low mileage, and is going to provide our family with lots of fun memories.  We are so excited!!

The boys in front of the RV after Randy brought it home.  They were so ecstatic.  Brady said it was the best day of his life.  Also that he loved me 100% and he loved the RV 100%  :-)

The Garner boys hanging out on the sofa.

The dinette, where we will play games and such as we're driving down the road.

On the queen bed in the back.

The overhead pull-out bunk, Dawson's sleeping spot.

Inaugural RV Camp Out

For our inaugural RV camp out we drove a few miles down the road to the Huntsville State Park.  It was great!!  We were still in a gorgeous place, enjoyed lots of outdoor exploring and activities, but had a very cozy (and dry) place to retreat to.

Playing at the dinette table.

Dawson doing his school work.  We will definitely take advantage of the flexibility of homeschooling and take our school work on the road with us in our RV!!

Reading outside the RV.

Brady's rock collection.

Ready to go on a nature hunt.

The climbing tree.  :-)

Dawson's turn.

Heading out on a bike ride.

On our favorite trail, Prairie Branch.

8th Birthday!!!!

On Dawson's 8th birthday we planned lots of fun around the number 8.  He had donuts shaped like the number 8, opened 8 presents, went to Chuck E. Cheese where he was given 88 coins to play games, went ice sk-8-ing at The Woodlands ice rink, stopped by Toys R Us to spend his $8, and stayed up until 8:00 to watch Star Wars.

Cherry sprinkle donuts shaped like an 8 in honor of his 8th birthday.

8 presents

Notice how both boys are equally excited.  Brady loves Dawson and is always thinking about him and looking out for him.  He gets genuinely excited for Dawson on his special days.  Also, this was the present Brady picked out for Dawson so he was especially exuberant.

Aaah, a dragon!!!

A hug and a kiss for his sweet little brother.

Excited to get the Rush Hour game.

And a Star Wars Lego set.

I always wanted the game of Life when I was a kid - now that I have a kid I got it for him so that I can play it too.  :-)

A new scooter!

Super happy about this present from Gramps . . .

. . . . his very own Kindle.

All of his fantastic birthday presents.

Birthday lunch at Chuck E. Cheese.

They were the only 2 there for the first ticket toss so they accumulated lots.

Our handsome 8 year old!!!

Playing the jump rope game.

Virtual roller coaster with Dad.

Brady on the spinning hot chocolate cup, bopping the marshmallows, of course.

Brady's favorite game - the pirate wheel!

Bags full of goodies.

Ice sk-8-ing time!!

Eight candles for our now 8 year old son.

Super Mario Sleepover

For Dawson's 8th birthday party, we had a Super Mario party sleepover.  We made almost all of our own decorations, planned some Mario themed games (goomba stomp, yoshi egg hunt, question cube punch, and Mario musical chairs) to earn gold coins, then cashed in coins for prizes at Mario's Shop.  The boys then made their own pizza at Luigi's Pizza Kitchen, enjoyed some question cube cake and star cookies, and then played several Mario Wii games before heading up to bed.  It was a very special birthday party - the best ever according to Dawson.

A Mario birthday banner and boo's.

Mario mantle, complete with piranha plants, blocks, question cube, and a Mario puzzle that Dawson completed, glued, and framed.

The Mario Shop with various Mario themed prizes.
