Lake Livingston State Park

We had a great winter camp-out at Lake Livingston State Park.  Apparently camping from Mon-Wed is the perfect time, as hardly anyone else was there and it felt like we had the entire state park to ourselves.  Of course, it could also be that it was January and pretty chilly.  ;-)

We had a campsite right beside the lake, which got a "thumbs up" from Dawson.

Feeding the ducks.

Brady's new favorite thing - swinging!!

Dawson on the old-school slide.

Brady's relaxing descent.

We took our school work with us.  :-)

Dawson bird-watching with his binoculars.

Up on the observation tower.

Awe!  Me and Brady.

Brady took this not-very-centered picture of me and Dawson, but I think it's precious.

Randy and Dawson on the boardwalk trail.

A fun find - a downed tree trunk to climb.

Love this.

And this.

Yep, the squirrels are definitely used to people.  Instead of running away from us, they ran towards us.

Hehehe.

Enjoying a few chip morsels.

Watching the sun set over the lake.  This was the best part of our day.

Dawson loved this popcorn!  It was a perfect campfire snack.

Roasting marshmallows.

Sweet, adorable brothers.

Campfire and sunset . . . . ahhhh.
