Geocaching

To finish up his Geocaching Merit Badge (that he started way back in summer camp 2016), Dawson had to hide a travel bug and then monitor it for a period of time.  We headed out to the Huntsville State Park to put the travel bug in a popular geocache location. Someone did log the find, but they never deposited it in another cache, which was a bit of a disappointment, as Dawson had hoped to monitor it traveling around to various locations.  However, he did his part to complete the merit badge!

We did some more geocaching while we were at the state park and now that we are registered geocachers and kind of know what we are doing, we look forward to more geocaching adventures on our many travels.
