10 Mile Hike

We finally had some beautiful fall weather, and we celebrated by going on a 10 mile hike on the Lone Star trail.  This was the longest hike that Brady had attempted and he did amazing!  He had such a good attitude, made wonderful conversation (really, he's so sweet and funny and we had some great chats), and endured through those last couple of miles when he was really exhausted. He said that he liked the hike and wants to go on more long hikes and even try backpacking. 

Zoo Field Trip

It's always a good time when we visit the Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin.  But this trip was especially great because we went with our homeschool group and were able to participate in some educational programs hosted by the zoo.  Brady's class was awesome!  It was called "Feeding Lab" and they learned about what, why, and how the zoo feeds the many animals in it's care.  Then they were had the opportunity to feed some of the animals (alligators, lemurs, and the hippo).

Dallas Cowboys Game!

Dawson & I had a VERY special day together.  We went to the Cowboys vs. Dolphins game at AT&T Stadium.  It was an incredible experience, watching the game in that spectacular stadium amidst so many other Cowboys fans.
